There has been another big explosion in the sun, which has created the threat of a solar storm on Earth. There are some craters on the surface of the Sun which erupt like volcanoes. These explosions generate a huge amount of energy, the wave of which starts moving towards the solar system from the Sun. This is called a solar flare or solar storm. The occurrences of solar storms have started to be seen more and more now. They are having a wide impact on the earth. Now another solar storm alert has been issued.
October started with a big bang in the sun. Space Agency NASA (Nasa) has reported a terrible solar storm. NASA says that the Sun has had two major explosions within about 24 hours, causing two solar flares. One of these is said to be an X class solar flare which is considered a powerful solar storm. It is classified in X7.1 class. It’s October 1 at 6:20 p.m. (EDT) has risen from the sun.
According to Spaceweather.com, this storm from the Sun is one of the largest solar storms in its 25th cycle. A larger solar storm than this occurred earlier on May 14, which was of X8.7 class. Such solar storms can completely destroy radio frequencies on Earth. It has risen from a blazing sunspot named AR3842. An explosion also took place in this sunspot on September 30. That is, it has 2 consecutive explosions one after the other.
The impact of the said solar storm is estimated to reach the Earth by October 4. Such solar storms cause damage to high frequency (HF) radio signals. These show a wide range of effects on the earth. When these solar storms hit Earth, they shake up its magnetic field. That not only creates auroras, but also affects navigation systems, power grids, and even satellite communications.
