The Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up to launch new flagship smartphone models based on upcoming flagship MediaTek and Qualcomm processors in October. A recent report suggests that Xiaomi may launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite-based Xiaomi 15 series on October 23. However, now a new report has surfaced which suggests that the launch could take place on October 20.
Leaker Fixed Focus Digital hinted in a Weibo post that while Vivo will launch its Vivo X200 series on October 14, Xiaomi is set to launch the Xiaomi 15 series on October 20. Honor may also introduce its Honor Magic 7 on October 30. The Vivo X200 series was recently spotted on Chinese retail platform JD.com, revealing a launch date of October 14. Announcements related to flagship smartphones from Xiaomi and Honor are likely to come closer to the estimated launch dates.
Xiaomi 15 Series Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 Pro will reportedly feature a 120Hz 2K display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an 8.5mm thick body. The smartphone will have a special titanium edition like last year’s model. Talking about the camera setup, the 15 Pro will get a 50-megapixel primary camera with variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/2.5, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a Sony IMX858 telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. On the other hand, Xiaomi 15 will get a 6,000mAh battery. The phone will come with an IP69 rating, ensuring protection from water and dust. Both smartphones will support 90W wired fast charging. These smartphones will have Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Honor Magic 7 Specifications
Honor Magic 7 series smartphone is expected to get the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The standard model will get a 1.5K display and the Pro model will get a 2K display. Talking about the camera setup, the rear of both smartphones will include a 50-megapixel Omnivision OV50H camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto Sony IMX882 camera and a third 50-megapixel or 200-megapixel Samsung HP3 camera.
